So Brandon Webb just pitched his third straight complete game shutout to bring his consecutive scoreless innings steak to 42, this being the 12th-longest such streak in major league baseball, and him being the first pitcher to go 40+ straight scoreless innings since Orel Hershiser did so in 1988, en route to setting the record of 59.
