Title: Correction: My SCANNER loathes me.

I think I found the real problem (though not its root cause): my scanner.  If I completely remove it (device, physical usb cable, and software) the problem goes away.  My Computer Folder loads immediately, paint shop pro works fine, and cute ftp has no issues.

I've started a correspondence with microsoft about this, so we'll see if maybe some update horked it all up.

Hi all looking ford to getting some good laughs from this forum, witch I all ready have this place crazy but in a good way.
