Title: Week 2 July Vote Incentives
Post by: Matt on July 07, 2005, 07:28:39 PM
Starting at midnight pacific time, the incentive for this week will be up at top web comics (http://topwebcomics.com/votinggateway.aspx?memberid=1863), so feel free to give us the voting love.  It will feature sally and a pirate.  The script was mostly written by Dasha. Following in the evening (or the next day) I will put up a voting incentive at the web comics list (http://www.webcomicslist.com/vote.php?type=in&webcomicid=1010) that will probably pander to teenage male readers, but could also feature an aardvark or some other such silly creature instead. You won't know until you vote.

In the meantime, tomorrow I should have a second comic battling at Web Comic Battles (http://www.webcomicbattle.com), since today it seems I am going to lose to Batman v. the Obvious.  Be sure to check there every day so that the site owner can feel like his silly little site accomplishes something. :boohoo:

I've decided what I'm going to draw, if I get around to doing it. I'm afraid it'll be quite a slam on the site itself, but we take what the muse gives us.

And damn, I don't remember anything about Sally and a pirate. Arrrr.

Ah, Dasha the muse strikes again.  Well at least I can lay claim to Bad Mothafooka or whatever.

Here ya go. I'm currently coming up with something to put at the webcomic battles site myself, and here's the first panel (all I've done so far):

How does one attract serial killers? I'm so going to implement this plan. Reveal more!

Go for a long hike in the woods and then have sex at the abandoned summer camp built over an ancient burial ground. That should do it. *nod*

Peferably this should be done on days like Friday the 13th and Halloween.  Not to mention have many sharp pointy objects lying around the place as added bait.  Some serial killers are too lazy to bring their own.

Or it can be on the anniversary of some particularly gruesome event that allegedly had no survivors...

At any rate, sex is the key. If there's sex, serial killers will follow. If Hollywood has taught me nothing else, it's that - and that everyone must buy a loaf of french bread when they go to the store.

And now back to the original topic. I see that the roleplaying comic both won and lost in the same battle, so I am both happy and sad about the outcome. I guess ties mean "You survive till the next round, but we're not gonna actually SAY you tied, we're gonna say you lost."

Yeah, I noticed that too.

In other news, another lame hack seems to have killed our forum theme.
